About
carbon calling - for farmers by farmers
In 2018 we went to Groundswell and left feeling inspired to recreate the concept (on a slightly smaller scale!) in Cumbria, and with a heavier focus on pasture. After two false starts in the Covid years we finally launch Carbon Calling in 2022.
This was rustic chic - a drafty barn, loads of tea in proper mugs and a cracking line up of speakers. We were really chuffed with the weekend - the perfect combination of farmers sharing ideas, beer, food, chat and dung beetles. It went well...and we did it all again in 2023 and plans for 2024 are well under way, find out more here.
Huge thanks to all those who have attended our 2022 and 2023 conferences. You can listen our archive YouTube sessions from 2023 here and check out Pete Leeson Tree Amble podcast, recorded at the 2023 conference, here.
Awesome event, timing allowed for nice balance of social and seminars with excellent food that helped create positive and supportive atmosphere. Well done team! - Carbon Calling 2022 feedback
Nic and Liz are the driving force behind Carbon Calling. They have a fairly unique approach to chatting all things farming and ReGenAg. 'Authentic' sounds a bit naff but its also fairly accurate.
Carbon Calling is the missing link between conventional and regenerative agriculture, and Nic and Liz make the connection with a hefty dose of knowledge and humour. This is not polished farm talk - its two farmers sharing the good stuff in a way that makes sense.

This pair, coupled with Reno (Nic's husband) and Tim (host of Conference Cumbria and the man behind Cactus Tree Guards) and the awesome line up of speakers are guaranteed to make ReGenAg feel relatable, interesting and something to get stuck into. Come and join the chat.
