Conference Cumbria
Carbon calling 2025 ran over three days 24th-26th June
We did it!
Three incredible days of collaboration in a shed in Cumbria - thank you to everyone who came, spoke, sponsored and got involved to make it a success.
We aimed to bring people together, share experiences, and explore positive solutions that benefit nature while also taking care of ourselves and each other. Closing on day three with so much openness, positivity and support in the room, it certainly felt like we'd achieved that.
Some highlights included...
Day One: Insightful World Cafe discussions around accessing regenerative products, refreshing conversations with Dominie Fearn, Tim Bloomer, Phil Hambling and Nicola MacPhail.
Day Two: Captivating business journeys shared by Judith Hutchison and Jannike Taylor, inspiring wise words from Headliner Jules Matthews, on the ripple effect your actions can have. Not forgetting a volleyball match, interview with Cathy the Curlew (aka Matthew Trevelyan), great conversations over fabulous local food and the collective Carbon Calling Poem, from artist in residence Rose Ferraby. Listen here.
Day Three: An invigorating day at Cannerheugh Farm, delving into the soils, biodiversity and grazing.
